Obama: Part III Economy

So I want to start off by saying that this chapter in "the blueprint for change" has no real depth to it. Obama doesn't talk about monetary policy, The Federal Reserve or about abolishing income tax (he does talk about lowering it though). I think he must not really understand how the economy works or he is part of the Federal Reserve machine.

1. Obama wants to lower income taxes for working family's...
$500 off per person
Must be a two income family, like a mother and father who both have jobs.

This is nice, he understands that if the government steals less of your money you will have more to spend therefore helping the economy (pretty simple eh?). However he still endorses income tax (A.K.A. the government stealing your money) he just wants to lower it a little. We need to get rid of income tax; this would be a HUGE boost to our economy. If everybody has an extra $500 bucks to spend every year that helps. If every American is entitled to 100% of what they work for then you can start fixing our economy.

2. Obama wants to simplify filing taxes so it only takes 5 minutes a year. He wants to "ensure" that the IRS uses the information they already gets from banks and employers to give taxpayers the option of pre-filled tax forms to verify, sign and return."

Sounds cool the IRS doing your taxes for you!!! I’m sure that you'll have absolutely NO arguments with them as to how much money you made last year or how much you owe them...

Ever...

3. Obama wants to

"Use trade agreements to spread good labor and environmental standards around the world"

"Work with the leaders of Canada and Mexico to fix N.A.F.T.A"

"Pressure The World Trade Organization (WTO) to enforce trade agreements and stop countries from continuing unfair government subsidies to foreign exporters"

How bout we withdraw from WTO and start the real trading?
How bout we burn the North American "Free" Trade Agreement and let the people do the "free trade"?
How bout we stop our trade embargo against Cuba and let the people decide if they really are too "evil" to trade with?
How bout REAL free trade?

I disagree with obama on this issue of trade entirely.

4.
This next point is really stupid so I'm quoting the WHOLE thing just so people can't claim I twisted it

"Barack Obama will raise the minimum wage, index it to inflation and increase the Earned Income Tax Credit to make sure that full-time workers earn a living wage that allows the to raise their families and pay for basic needs."

Why not stop inflation?
...

Game over...

This is stupid...

Let’s say you decide to do this anyway.
Where are the employers gonna get the money to pay the new inflated wages?
Surely we aren't going to give all the newly printed money to businesses so they can pay the new wages. Then the government has no reason to print new money because they can't spend it.
What about other countries?
If our money is becoming worth less then it will still cost more money for all kinds of goods, like oil and certain produce that can't be grown here. Because other countries money will be worth more than ours.

I have to say I think this is a stupid idea…

Thanks for reading...

See you next Wednesday!
